Bihar Portfolio Allocation: Following the swearing-in of the new Bihar cabinet on Thursday, November 20, under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, portfolio allocations for BJP ministers were announced today. Samrat Choudhary has been assigned the Home Ministry, a key portfolio that was earlier held by Nitish Kumar in previous NDA governments.
BJP leader Vijay Kumar Sinha, who was elected as the deputy leader of the party’s legislative wing, has been assigned Department of Revenue and Land Reforms. Mangal Pandey, the BJP MLA, continues to hold the crucial Health Ministry portfolio in the new cabinet and will also oversee the Law Department.

A total of 26 ministers were sworn in on Thursday during a grand ceremony at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Friday announced the allocation of 18 portfolios in the new Bihar cabinet, including ministers from the BJP, LJP(R), HAM, and RLM.
In the Bihar portfolio allocation, LJP(R) has been allocated two departments, Sugarcane Industries and Public Health Engineering, while HAM received the Water Resources portfolio, and RLM was given the Panchayati Raj Department.

JD(U) Ministers' Portfolio Allocation Awaited
The Janta Dal United (JDU) ministers will have to wait a little longer for their portfolios as allocation of key departments, such as Finance and Transport, is yet to be announced. The allocation of eight more ministers, out of 26, is still pending, with the remaining list expected to be announced shortly.
