Rohtas Bus Accident: A major road accident took place on the Sasaram-Ara main road near Penar village under Nokha police station area, Rohtas, Bihar on Friday. A bus carrying passengers from Sasaram to Patna collided with a pickup truck, causing the bus to lose control and topple.
There were around 45-50 individuals on the bus, several of whom were critically injured. At the same time, a passenger died in the incident. Following this occurrence, there was a chaotic environment in the entire area.
According to the locals, shortly after the accident, people from adjacent villages arrived to the scene to assist in evacuating the passengers stuck in the vehicle.
Some of the injured were taken to Nokha Primary Health Centre with the assistance of the villagers, while the badly injured passengers were transported to Sasaram with the assistance of police and locals.
As soon as the incident was reported, the police from Nokha police station, the Block Development Officer, and Sub-Divisional Officer Kumar Vaibhav-2 arrived on the scene and made arrangements to transport the wounded passengers to the hospital for prompt treatment.
Sub-Divisional Officer Kumar Vaibhav stated that the accident was caused by a collision between a bus and a vehicle. Further action is underway.
Six of the injured are said to be in severe condition and have been brought to Sadar Hospital in Sasaram. At the same time, other hospitals, in addition to the local health centre, are providing first aid to injured people. Traffic was temporarily affected as a result of the collision. However, the cops swiftly took control of the situation. The accident shocked the locals, who requested that the authorities enhance road safety measures.
Police station incharge Dinesh Malakar said that the uncontrolled Sonbhadra Express bus collided with a pickup and overturned near Penar village. Two bike riders also got injured in this sequence. The police have taken the bus, bike and pickup into their custody.
