Bihar Weather: Red Alert Issued For Patna, Muzaffarpur For Heavy Rain; Yellow Alert For THESE 20 Districts | Forecast

Bihar Weather: Bihar experienced an unexpected weather change this week, leaving many residents shocked. On Monday afternoon, cities such as Patna, Siwan and Saran saw a dramatic shift as dark clouds rolled in, creating a night-like atmosphere during the day. The region enjoyed a refreshing spell of rain, accompanied by strong winds and flashes of lightning.

However, the rain led to waterlogging in several areas, including Gandhi Maidan, Kankarbagh, Kadamkuan and Nehru Path. Drivers had to turn on their headlights even in daylight due to the gloomy conditions.

Bihar Weather Forecast

The Meteorological Department issued a red alert for Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Vaishali and Patna. Additionally, a yellow alert was announced for light rain and thunderstorms affecting 20 districts, including Patna, over the next 24 hours. An orange alert was issued for five districts including Khagaria, Bhagalpur, Munger, Jamui and Banka indicating possible thunderstorms and winds reaching 50-80 km/h. Meanwhile, a yellow alert warned of winds between 40-50 km/h in the capital and surrounding areas.

Meteorologists expect these weather patterns to continue for the next four days, with no significant changes in temperature forecast. A cyclonic circulation from western Madhya Pradesh to eastern Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal is influencing these conditions.

Bihar Weather Tomorrow

On April 16, the effects of a western disturbance are anticipated, likely bringing more rain and thunderstorms to the region. Over the past 24 hours, Gopalganj district recorded the highest rainfall at 38.6 mm, followed by Siwan with 30.4 mm, and other areas such as Bagaha and Maharajganj with significant amounts as well.

Bihar Cities Temperature

In terms of temperatures, Patna recorded a maximum of 34.2 degrees Celsius, which is 5.2 degrees below normal. In contrast, Gaya saw the highest temperature in the state at 36.6 degrees Celsius. Rainfall totals for Patna were 0.4 mm, while Gaya received 10.2 mm.
