Bihar Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday stated that several districts of the poll-bound Bihar are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall for the next two to three days. The weather department stated that along with heavy rainfall, multiple regions are also expected to receive thunderstorms and strong surface winds. The IMD stated that the continuous rainfall is likely to lead to issues like waterlogging and power outages in several cities. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.

While providing details, the weather department stated that several districts, including Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Madhepura, Khagaria, Bhagalpur, Munger, Jamui, Banka, Katihar, and Purnia, are likely to witness heavy rainfall in the upcoming days. It further stated that the continuous rainfall is likely to lead to a drop in temperature in these districts by three to four degrees Celsius. The IMD also stated that the heavy rainfall is also likely to affect the daily lifestyle, further advising the residents to limit their outings.

The IMD stated that the rainfall was recorded in various parts of the state during the past 24 hours. While providing details, it informed that Baltara in Khagaria recorded the highest rainfall of 170 mm. It further stated that Patna recorded a maximum temperature of 23.8 degrees Celsius. The weather department has advised the farmers to protect their crops and to not hide beneath any big tree or electricity pole during the rainfall to avoid any inconveniences.

Apart from this, several districts of Uttar Pradesh, including Kanpur, Etawah, Barabanki, Ayodhya, Ballia, Bahraich, Prayagraj, and Gorakhpur, are set to receive light to moderate rainfall at least till November 5. The weather department also stated that several states have been experiencing rain for the past few days due to Cyclone Montha in the Bay of Bengal.
