Bihar Assembly elections: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday released its first candidates' list for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections 2025. The list carried 71 names, including Bihar Deputy Chief Ministers - Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha.

Sinha will contest from the Lakhisarai seat, while Chaudhary from the Tarapur constituency. Bihar Minister Nitish Mishra is set to seek re-election from Jhanjharpur seat.
Here Are The Key Highlights Of The BJP Candidate List:
- Bihar Assembly Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav, however, has been left out of the list.
- Ram Kripal Yadav, who lost the Lok Sabha election from Patliputra to RJD leader Misa Bharti, fielded from the Danapur seat.
- Shreyashi Singh is contesting from the Jamui seat.
- Former deputy chief minister Tarkishore Prasad and state minister Renu Devi will contest from Katihar and Bettiah, respectively.
- State ministers Nitish Mishra will seek re-election from the Jhanjharpur seat
- Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey pitted from Siwan.
Talks on which parties will contest which seats in Bihar in final stages: NDA leaders
Meanwhile, leaders of the ruling NDA in Bihar on Tuesday affirmed that seat allocation within the coalition has been settled amicably, and discussions on which party will contest specific seats are now in the final stages.
The statements came amid speculation that a rift had developed within the coalition over the seat-sharing arrangement, which was announced on Sunday. As per the arrangement, the BJP and JD(U) will contest on 101 seats each, LJP(RV) on 29 seats, and HAM and RLM on six seats each.
The elections for the 243-member Bihar Assembly are scheduled in two phases, on November 6 and 11, with counting set for November 14.
