After months of anticipation, BRA Bihar University has announced that the PhD Admission Test (PAT) for the 2023 and 2024 sessions will be held on September 14 in two shifts.

The first shift (Paper 1) will run from 11 am to 1 pm, covering general knowledge and general studies, while the second shift (Paper 2) will be held from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, focusing on subject-specific questions.

Candidates will get a 30-minute break between the two shifts. The university plans to release admit cards one week before the examination. Prof BS Rai has been appointed as the nodal officer for the PAT.

Meanwhile, research scholars have urged the university to reschedule the PAT, citing a clash with the BPSC Mains examination on 13 September. Many candidates may have exam centres outside their districts, making it difficult to appear for both exams consecutively. Scholars have requested the authorities to consider postponing the PAT to avoid hardship for the candidates.
