Expressway In Bihar: The expressway is under construction, which will be 189 kilometres long, and go from Aams in Gaya district to Darbhanga via Ramnagar in Patna. Its stretch in Jehanabad district will be 38 kilometres. The six-lane road will pass through the eastern part of the district and various mouza of Makhdumpur, Kako, Ghosi and Modanganj blocks. 13 villages of Makhdumpur, 12 of Modanganj and three villages of Ghosi block will be benefited by this.

The work of filling soil for the 60 m wide road in four km stretch from Golakpur in Ghosi area to Dehuni, Nimiya Bigha via Belai has almost been completed. Paving work is also going on simultaneously.

The tourism industry in Bihar will flourish after the construction of the expressway. It will create many opportunities for the surrounding areas. People will be interested in building houses and opening offices near the route. The transportation facilities will also increase.

People will get employment directly and indirectly. Dhaba business along the expressway is a major source of employment. Cash crop farming will get a boost in this agriculture dominated area. People will be able to directly transport their produce to the areas of North Bihar through the expressway.

At present, products are sent to other places through the local market during which role of middlemen increases. With the availability of transportation facilities, the role of middlemen will end and farmers will be directly benefited.

Rajesh Kumar Sharma, a resident of Soupi in Makhdumpur block, says that at the time of construction of the expressway, the price of land was Rs 1.5 lakh per kattha. Now it is Rs 5 lakh per kattha. 

Okri Panchayat head Vibhuti Sharma said that the area of Modanganj block has always been backward in terms of transportation. Now the expressway will pass next to the village. Everyone will benefit from this. Traveling to North Bihar will become easier, new employment opportunities will also be created.

After Two NHs, Now Construction Of An Expressway

The government thinks that people from rural areas should not face any problem in commuting to big cities. If one route is blocked for some reason, people can come and go through another route.

After the construction of the expressway, it will become easier to go to Patna. Currently, there are two routes to go from Patna to Gaya. One road passes through Jehanabad. The other goes through Ekangarasrai-Islampur. Now the third road is being built.
