The electoral contest for the Fatuha Assembly constituency proved closely fought, but the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) secured a decisive win. According to the final results released by the Election Commission, RJD candidate Dr Ramanand Yadav secured a total of 90,558 votes, defeating the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) candidate, Rupa Kumari, by a large margin of 7,992 votes.

Rupa Kumari received a total of 82,566 votes, placing her in second position. From the outset, the contest for this seat was centred between the RJD and the LJP (Ramvilas). While there was a close fight in the initial rounds, Dr Yadav began to build a lead from the middle rounds onwards, which he maintained until the final result.

Yadav’s victory has once again proven that the Yadav vote bank and the RJD's public base (janadhar) are very strong in the Fatuha region. The Jan Suraj Party candidate, Raju Kumar, came in third place, receiving just 8,598 votes. A strong showing was expected from Jan Suraj here, but they failed to secure the anticipated support. Meanwhile, independent candidates and smaller parties received fewer than 5,000 votes.

NOTA (None of the Above) also made its presence felt in this election, with a total of 3,938 voters choosing the NOTA option, opting not to vote for any candidate.

Local issues in the Fatuha region, such as road repairs, unemployment, crime control, and the revival of industries, formed the main basis of the election campaign this time. Dr Yadav had presented a concrete action plan for all these problems in his election campaign, which had a positive impact on the voters.

Rupa Kumari of the LJP (Ramvilas) also campaigned vigorously, particularly trying to appeal to Dalit and extremely backward class voters, but her efforts fell short against the RJD's strong organisational hold and the solid support of the Yadav community. Overall, in the 2025 election, the Fatuha seat has once again placed its trust in the RJD, electing Dr Ramanand Yadav with a clear majority.
