In a move to improve passenger convenience and streamline parcel delivery, Muzaffarpur Junction has extended its parcel service hours from 6 am to 10 pm, up from the previous 8 am to 5 pm schedule. The decision was implemented on Sunday under the orders of DRM Samastipur, Jyoti Prakash Mishra.

The extended 18-hour service will operate in two shifts: 6 am to 2 pm and 2 pm to 10 pm. Previously, parcels arriving on evening trains often remained undelivered, causing inconvenience to passengers and sometimes leading to injuries due to parcels scattered on the platforms.
