Patna Traffic Advisory: Ahead of the counting of the Bihar Assembly election on November 14, the Patna traffic police has released a special traffic plan for smooth functioning of the vehicles. While providing details, the authority stated that the counting will begin at 8 AM at AN College, adding that the traffic arrangement will be in effect from 5 AM until the counting process concludes. The traffic police have advised the commuters to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly to avoid any inconveniences. Apart from this, the authority has also advised the residents to maximise the use of public transportation to avoid the rush.
While providing details, the authority stated that vehicular traffic will be restricted in the areas surrounding AN College throughout the day. However, it clarified that the essential vehicles, including fire engines, ambulances, judicial vehicles, vote-counting vehicles, and pass holders, will be allowed to pass through. The district administration has appealed to the commuters to avoid these areas and use alternative routes to avoid inconveniences.

The authority stated that the vehicular movement will be restricted from Rajapur Bridge on Boring Road to Hartali Chowk or the Bailey-Boring Road crossing on November 14. Apart from this, the commercial vehicles will also be prohibited from Patliputra Golambar towards AN College. The traffic police also stated that the vehicles coming from Bailey-Boring Road and Hartali Chowk will only be able to travel till Tapasya intersection.
Apart from this, the commuters coming from Patliputra or Kurji will only be allowed up to the Pani Tanki intersection, leading to the inconveniences. A three-tier security system has been implemented to ensure a safe and fair vote counting process. Most of the exit polls have predicted that the Nitish Kumar-led NDA will return to power, adding that the Mahagathbandhan is not expected to get more than 100 seats.
