Bihar Weather News: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday stated that several districts, including Patna, are likely to receive light to heavy rains in the upcoming few days. The weather department stated that apart from rain, these districts are also expected to witness gusty winds and thunderstorms. It stated that the rain will reduce the temperature by two to three degrees Celsius, providing major relief to the residents from scorching heat.

While providing details, the weather department stated that 26 districts, including Patna, Gaya, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Nawada, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, Buxar, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Bhabua, Aurangabad, Arwal, West Champaran, East Champaran, Siwan, Saran, Gopalganj, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Vaishali, Shivhar, and Samastipur, are likely to experience light to heavy rainfall till May 7. The temperature in these districts is likely to remain between 28 and 32 degrees Celsius; however, the temperature is likely to increase after May 9.

The weather department stated that there is a possibility of rain in most of the districts of Bihar for the next two days. While providing details, it stated that there is a possibility of rain and thunderstorms along with strong winds in Saran, Vaishali, Patna, Nalanda, and Jehanabad. It further stated that some of the districts are also likely to witness hailstorms in the next few days. It also clarified that there is no possibility of any significant change in the maximum temperature and minimum temperature during the next 48 hours.

Apart from this, the weather department stated that the weather conditions in multiple districts of Jharkhand, including Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Daltonganj, Bokaro, and Chaibasa, are likely to change in the upcoming days. It added that these districts are likely to witness similar weather conditions for the next four days. Several northern states, including Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, are expected to witness rainfall till May 7.
