Patna Fire News: A major fire broke out at an apartment at Fraser Road in Bihar's Patna on Wednesday evening. The fire was caught in two flats on the ninth floor of Surya Apartment behind Hotel Maurya, according to reports. An atmosphere of chaos engulfed the area following the incident.
As soon as the information was received, 10 fire engines rushed to the scene. Efforts are underway to douse the flames.
While no casualties or injuries have been reported as of yet, the cause of the fire is still not known.

According to reports, the fire was first caught in one flat and soon spread to the other.
"Fire broke out at Surya Apartments. We reached the site as soon as we received the information. Fire team also reached as soon as it was informed. 80% of the fire has been doused... We were constantly urging the occupants of the house using a mic... The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained..." Deputy SP Kotwali (Law & Order) Krishna Murari Prasad was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
It is worth noting that the building in which the fire broke out also houses Vishwa Samvad Kendra. This apartment is in front of Patna Doordarshan. The area where the fire incident took place is residential. Former Union Minister CP Thakur's residence is also next to the apartment. Officials said that first the fire will be controlled and then an investigation will be conducted.
