Bihar News: For people who want to come to Bidh Gaya in Bihar to perform the rituals of their ancestors, it is advisable for them to book hotels. The people may face issues as only a fortnight is left for the "Pitri Paksha" to begin. The fair will begin on September 28. The district administration is making preparations for the event and has also held several meetings with the hotel operators in Gaya. They have been instructed to announce the fare of hotel rooms like ordinary, AC, non-AC, and dormitory on their respective boards during the fair, along with releasing the number of available rooms.

As the number of people coming for the fair is unknown, it is advisable to book hotels in advance. At present, the rooms are full in around 400 hotels and guest houses.

Online Availability For Booking Hotels

The hotels in Bodhgaya have released the information on their websites. The hotel number has been issued to provide room availability and rate information.

An operator associated with the Bodhgaya hotel business says that the hotels operating in Gaya and Bodhgaya are in the same category. But the fare is determined differently. For grading the hotels, HRAC, i.e., the Hotel and Restaurant Accreditation Committee under the Ministry of Tourism, has been constituted at the national level. But the hoteliers in Bodh Gaya themselves have decided their ratings on the website. As per HRACC standards, there is no hotel operating in Bodhgaya.

Where One Can Find Hotels

Most of the hotels are in Gaya city area. The hotel is operated on routes like Pinddani Gaya Railway Station Road, Gurudwara Road, Swarajpuri Road, Rai Kashinath Mode, near Rampur Police Station, and AP Colony, among others, for people coming by rail. A resort operates in Manpur. Those who have the facility of their own private vehicle can stay in Bodh Gaya. There is a hotel arrangement with parking here.
