Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin, the Buxar district administration organised a program in the Collectorate Hall on Monday, where housing acceptance letters were distributed to 387 beneficiaries, and the first installment was provided to 577 eligible beneficiaries.

During the event, DRDA Director Arvind Kumar symbolically handed over keys for Griha Pravesh to one beneficiary from each block who successfully completed house construction in the financial year 2024-25. Senior district officials extended their congratulations and wished the beneficiaries a happy and prosperous life in their new homes.

For the financial year 2024-25, the district has been allocated a target of 13,668 houses, out of which 12,088 approval letters have been issued and 10,397 beneficiaries have received the first installment. Notably, 1,440 houses have already been completed under the scheme.

The administration has taken proactive measures to ensure timely assistance, guiding beneficiaries through the construction process and facilitating the timely disbursement of funds. Under this scheme, beneficiaries receive Rs 1.20 lakh in three installments, directly credited to their bank accounts.

The initiative has generated great enthusiasm among the recipients, bringing them a step closer to secure housing under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin.
