Bihar Assembly Election Results 2025: The results of the Bihar Assembly elections 2025 came as a big blow to the Mahagathbandhan, which reduced to 35 seats, 79 seats less than the previous elections in 2020. The election will be known for a few X factors, including a different competition between the Lalu family's scions - Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav.

Interestingly, both brothers campaigned against each other, showing the bitterness in their relationship. RJD supremo Lalu Prasad's elder son and Janshakti Janta Dal chief Tej Pratap contested from the Mahua seat, where Tejashwi campaigned for RJD contestant Mukesh Kumar Raushan.

On Friday, people's eyes are on the 'Lalu family' as the Election Commission of India announced the results of 243 constituencies, including the Mahua and Raghopur seats.

Here Is A Performance Comparison Between To Brothers

Tejashwi won the Raghopur seat with a margin of 14532 votes. He defeated the BJP's Satish Kumar. The RJD leader got 1,18,597 votes, while the BJP candidate bagged 1,04,065 votes.

On the other hand, Tej Pratap was in the third slot in the Mahua seat with 35703 votes. Tej Pratap recently floated his political outfit after being expelled from the RJD by his father over his relationship with a woman. Sanjay Kumar Singh of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) won the seat by a margin of 44,997 votes. RJD candidate Raushan ended up in the second spot with 42,644 votes.

Tej Pratap was expelled from the RJD on May 25 for six years, a day after he reportedly confessed to being 'in a relationship' with a woman. He, however, deleted the social media post later claiming that his page was "hacked". Lalu Prasad also disowned Tej Pratap due to his "irresponsible behaviour".

The NDA was set to sweep the Bihar assembly polls, surging ahead in close to 202 out of the total 243 seats, with the BJP emerging as the single largest party with nearly 95 per cent strike rate. The Mahagathbandhan, which includes the RJD, the Congress and three Left parties, was struggling to cross the 35-seat mark.
