Who Is Sanjay Yadav: A day after a massive debacle in the Bihar Assembly elections, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) witnessed a bitter feud in party chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's family. On Saturday, Lalu's daughter Rohini Acharya announced that she was "quitting politics" and severed ties with the family. She named two persons - Sanjay Yadav and Rameez in her cryptic tweet, holding them responsible for the dispute in the family.

Acharya, a doctor by qualification, who chose to become a homemaker and settled with her Singapore-based husband, wrote on X, "I am quitting politics and I am disowning my family" This is what Sanjay Yadav and Rameez had asked me to do, and I am taking all the blame. It was not clear from Acharya's post what exactly Sanjay Yadav and Rameez had said to her. The two were not available for comments either.

Not only Rohini, but Lalu's elder son, Tej Pratap Yadav, too, does not like Sanjay. On several occasions, the expelled RJD leader called Sanjay a 'Jaichand' (Traitor).

Rohini Acharya Donated Her Kidney To Lalu

Acharya, who was in the news for donating a kidney to her father a few years ago, had unsuccessfully contested last year's Lok Sabha polls from Saran. It was speculated that she was "unhappy" over the expulsion of Tej Pratap Yadav, elder son of Prasad, from the party. However, during the assembly elections, she was seen campaigning for Tejashwi.

Who Is Sanjay Yadav?

Sanjay Yadav is the most trusted aide and a strategist of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. Currently, Sanjay Yadav is a Rajya Sabha MP from Bihar on the RJD ticket. Sanjay, who is originally from Mahendragarh, Haryana, is a friend of Tejashwi. He later turned into his strategist and manager. He is credited with Tejashwi's rise across the party ranks and brain behind establishing a good rapport with Nitish Kumar before the JD-U leader switched to the NDA.

Sanjay attended school and then earned an MSc and MBA from Delhi. During Tejashwi came across him during his cricketing days in Delhi.

Before coming to Patna to support young Tejashwi, he used to work with an IT company. He entered politics on Tejashwi's invitation. Initially, he took charge of the RJD's online and offline campaign. Sanjay previously also pursued a career in cricket through the IPL, and is currently accompanying Tejashwi Yadav on his journey.

While Rameez is said to be Tejashwi's old friend who hails from a political family in neighbouring Uttar Pradesh.
