Asian Paints Share Price: The shares of Asian Paints Fell over 8% in the morning trade on Monday after the paints manufacturing giant reported a loss in July-September quarter. At 9:29 am, Asian Pant shares were trading at Rs 2,523.75, down 8.87% or 245.70 rupees.
Asian Paints Q2 Results
Asian Paints reported a sharp decline of 42.4% in its net profit in the July-September quarter (Q2) of the financial year 2025 (FY25), comparing the profit in the same quarter last financial year. Asain Paints is India's largest paint maker and its profit declined to Rs 694.64 crore, it has reported a 0.5% fall in volumes of its decorative paints business. As per the company, in the second quarter, the company's net sales stood at Rs 8,003.02 crore, a fall of 5.3%, following weak demand because of incessant rains and floods in parts of the country during the period.
The company also said that its revenue was impacted by price cuts made last year, a change in mix and increased discounts.

Brokerage firms downgrade Asian Paints
JP Morgan
JP Morgan has downgraded Asian Paints' rating to "underweight" from its earlier rating of "neutral". Also, it lowered its price target to Rs 2,400 from Rs 2,800. It said that domestic decorative paint volumes declined for the first time in the last decade, excluding the Covid-19 pandemic.
Nomura
Nomura remains "neutral" on Asian Paints and has a price target of Rs 2,500. The brokerage said volumes may improve in the second half of the current fiscal year due to delayed demand recovery and better rural demand, but the company's overall sales and EBITDA will still be seen as "weak" to flat.
Morgan Stanley
Morgan Stanley has an "underweight" rating on Asian Paints and has a price target of Rs 2,522. It cited product mix, rising discounts, employee costs and higher sales expenses as key monitorables.
Jefferies
Brokerage firm Jefferies has retained its "underperform" rating on Asian Paints and has a price target of Rs 2,100, implying a potential downside of 25% from Friday's closing level.
