Leading Indian automakers recorded mixed sales figures in October 2024, reflecting diverse performance across segments and brands. Ola Electric Mobility Ltd. saw a significant increase in vehicle registrations, recording a 74 per cent increase with 41,605 units registered, according to Vahan data, and total sales crossed the 50,000 unit mark for the month. Meanwhile, Tata Motors Ltd. saw a slight decline in its combined domestic and international sales, totalling 82,682 units compared to 82,954 units in October 2023, despite a marginal rise in domestic sales. Eicher Motors Ltd. also saw contrasting trends: while its joint venture with Volvo Group, VE Commercial Vehicles, faced a 5 per cent decline in sales, its motorcycle brand Royal Enfield posted a robust 31 per cent growth, driven by strong international demand and increased sales of models up to 350cc.
Ola Electric
Ola Electric Mobility Ltd reported a 74 per cent increase in vehicle registrations to 41,605 units in October 2024, compared to the same month last year.
In a statement, Ola Electric said that the company sold over 50,000 units in October 2024. It added that the registration figures are by Vahan data.

Tata Motors
Tata Motors Ltd reported a marginal decline in its domestic and international sales to 82,682 units in October, compared to 82,954 units in the same month last year.
In a regulatory filing, Tata Motors said that its total domestic sales were marginally higher at 80,839 units last month, compared to 80,825 units in the year-ago period.
Eicher EV
Eicher Motors Ltd reported a 5 per cent decline in total sales to 7,112 units in October 2024. In a regulatory filing, Eicher Motors said that VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, sold 7,486 units in October 2023.
Royal Enfield
Eicher Motors Ltd reported a 31 per cent increase in total sales of its Royal Enfield motorcycles to 110,574 units in October. It stood at 84,435 units in the year-ago period, according to a regulatory filing.
In the regulatory filing, Eicher Motors said that international business sales stood at 8,688 units last month, compared to 3,477 units in October a year ago.
It added that sales of models with engine capacity up to 350cc rose 27 per cent to 96,837 units, compared to 76,075 units in October last year.
It added that October 2024 sales included 6,911 units of the Eicher brand and 201 units of the Volvo brand. Sales of private vehicles in general, including electric vehicles, declined slightly to 48,423 units, compared to 48,637 units a year earlier.
