Budget 2025 Date and Time: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget for the upcoming financial year i.e. FY25-26 on Saturday, 1 February 2025. This Union Budget is the second full financial budget of the third term of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This will be the 8th consecutive full-budget speech of Nirmala Sitharaman.
What is in Union Budget 2025?
The Union Budget is an annual financial statement that shows the proposed expenditure and revenue earned by the Government of India for the next financial year, which runs from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026. Since 2019, the budget document, also known as Sath Bahi-Khata, provides details of the government's finances, expenditure, revenue and fiscal policies.

The Union Budget 2025 will be presented by Finance Minister of India Nirmala Sitharaman in Parliament on February 1, 2025, at 11 am. There, she will address the Lok Sabha, the lower house of Parliament.

As usual, the official Union Budget documents including the Annual Financial Report, Demand for Grants (DG) and Finance Bill will be placed on the government portal www.indiabudget.gov.in. Additionally, they will be placed online on the Union Budget mobile app so that citizens can easily access them.
