CMPDI IPO GMP: The Initial Public Offering of the Mini Ratna--Central Mine Planning--(CMPDI IPO) opened for subscription today, March 20. Meanwhile, due to investors' cautious approach amid market volatility triggered by the Middle East war crisis, the grey market participation remained subdued for the majority of share sales floated this month.

The GMP of Coal India arm CMPDI IPO is Rs 4.25 till u 11:58 AM on March 20, according to Investorgain. With the upper limit of the price band for the share sale fixed at 172.00, the shares of Central Mine Planning are estimated to list at Rs 176.25, with the expected percentage gain per sharebeings 2.47 per cent.

CMPDI IPO Subscription Status

According to data from NSE, the IPO did not do well on the first day as it was subscribed merely 0.05 times or received a bid for 38,46,160 shares against 7,97,89,500 total offered shares till 1:42 PM on March 20. The qualified institutional buyers quota did not get a bid. The Non-Institutional Investors segment was subscribed 0.03 times, while shares reserved for retail investors were subscribed 0.07 per cent.

IPO Details

Central Mine Planning aims to raise Rs 1842.12 crore through the book build issue. The IPO is entirely an offer for sale of 10.71 crore shares; all the proceeds would go directly to Coal India instead of the Company.

The government firm's IPO will remain open for public subscription between March 20, 2026, to Marvh 24, 2026.

Meanwhile, the share allotment process is expected to be finalised on March 25, 2026, before the shares are listed on the NSE and the BSE, with a tentative date of March 30, 2026.

The price band for Central Mine Planning IPO is Rs 163 to Rs 172 per share, and the lot size for an application is 80, meaning a minimum amount of Rs 13,760 is required to place a bid.
