"City Union Bank is one of India's oldest private sector banks, founded in 1904 in Kumbakonam. Over the decades, we have built a reputation as a safe, stable, and consistently performing institution. Today, we operate 900 branches across 18 states and 4 union territories, serving retail customers, MSMEs, traders, professionals, and HNI clients," Vijay Anandh said. - Net Interest Income grew 15% in H1 FY26, reaching Rs 1,292 crore.
- Profit After Tax also grew 15%, touching Rs 635 crore.
- Deposits increased by 21% year-on-year to Rs 69,486 crore.
Question: What are the future expansion plans of City Union Bank?
"Our expansion strategy is balanced between branch-led growth and digital acceleration. On the physical network side, we are deepening our presence in key high-potential states in North and West India while consolidating our strong base in the South and this financial year we shall be reaching 1000 branches," Vijay Anandh said.
"On the technology front, we are investing in AI-driven banking, customer experience enhancement, and secure digital platforms. Our long-term vision is to position City Union Bank as a Modern, Agile, And Nationally Preferred Banking Partner," he added.
