Gold Prices Today: Rates of the precious yellow metal reached a record high at the MCX on the eve of Diwali, reaching the price of Rs 1.3 lakh/10 gram. In Mumbai, the price of 24-carat gold stood at Rs 1,32,700 per 10 grams, while 22k gold was available at Rs 1,21,700 per 10 grams. It is important to note that the price shown on the MCX does not include GST and making charges.
At the international market, the COMEX gold price gained around 0.3 per cent, opening at approximately USD 4,336.18 per ounce at 02:33 GMT (08:03 AM IST). Earlier, gold had reached a new high of USD 4378.69 in the season. US gold futures for December delivery jumped 1% to $4,348.70.
This is the biggest weekly gain in the international market since 2008. According to trade analysts, t also points towards an upward trend in the prices of gold, which started in August.
Silver Prices Today
The MCX Silver December futures hit a record high of ₹1,70,415 per kg, rising by over Rs 2,750, a gain of 1.6 per cent. In the international market, the white metal touched a new peak of Rs 54.3775 an ounce on Friday.
