Gold price Today: The future rate of gold today surged a bit on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Friday i.e. December 20. At around 10:50 am, the future price of gold on MCX was trading at Rs 75,726, up 0.10% against the previous closing price. The rate of gold has been volatile for the last 2 months, earlier, the gold price skyrocketed during the festive season last month, however, post that the gold plunged significantly. Later this month following the the commencement of the wedding session, the gold price picked up momentum it is declining post-wedding season.

In the retail market, the rate of gold fell a bit compared to the last day's closing price. The price of 22k gold in India today is Rs 70,400 per 10 grams, while for 24-karat gold, the price is Rs 76,800. Meanwhile, for 18 karat of gold, the rate is Rs 57,600 per 10 grams. One should always keep in mind that the price of gold keeps changing in the retail market every day, so checking the latest gold rate could be a smart move.
