Gold Rate Today July 8: Gold rates in India shot up on Tuesday after witnessing a downward trend for the last four days. The Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd (MCX) tagged Rs 97,118 for 10 grams of 24-carat gold and Rs 89,283 for 10 grams of 22-carat gold on July 8.

The prices of the yellow metal reduced after US President Donald Trump’s warning issued on Sunday via his social media platform. Trump wrote, “Any country aligning itself with the anti-American policies of BRICS will be charged an ADDITIONAL 10 per cent tariff. There will be no exceptions to this policy.”

MCX gold prices are highest in Chennai and lowest in Kolkata. Bullion rates for the yellow metal, also stand highest in Chennai, with the lowest recorded rate in New Delhi.
