Gold Rate Today: The volatility in the future rate of gold on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) continues on Friday as well. With a significant surge on yesterday, the future gold rate for April 04, 2025 surpassed the Rs 86,000 mark again on MCX, but it fell over 0.25% to come below the latter mark Today.  At around 10:11 am,  the future rate of gold was trading at Rs 85,819.0, falling 0.325% against the previous session's closing value. In February, despite being volatile, the future gold rate has touched many all-time highs, but it is struggling in March due to several geo-political reasons.

Following the path of the commodity market,  the Gold prices fell in the retail market on Friday as well. The 22k gold price in India today is Rs 79,900 per 10 grams, it was over 80,200 yesterday. While the gold rate for 24K gold is Rs 87,160 per 10 grams, a significant loss as compared to the previous day's price of Rs 87,490. Meanwhile, the rate for 18 karat gold in the retail market is Rs 65,380 per 10 grams.

The price of gold has been too volatile this month, as it has been experiencing a significant fluctuation every day. Last month, i.e. in February, gold prices in the retail market touched several all-time highs due to heavy demand and global trade uncertainty. Meanwhile, the domestic stock market is struggling to stay on a stable track.

It should always be remembered that the price of the yellow metal in the retail market varies daily depending on factors such as supply and demand, global markets and foreign exchange markets across all major cities in the country. Therefore, you should check the latest gold prices in your city before buying.
