Gold Rate Today: The gold future contract price fell in the domestic futures market in early trade on Monday, i.e. on May 12, 2025. The Multi Commodity Exchange's (MCX) gold June 5 contract opened today at Rs 95,500 per 10 grams, down Rs 1,018 from the previous close of Rs 96,518. It fell another Rs 2,598 to hit a low of Rs 93,920. At around 11:32 am, it was trading at Rs 94,020, plunging 2.59%.

The price of COMEX gold was approximately $3,274 per troy ounce on the global market. At 11:20 am, the price of one ounce of spot gold was approximately $3,270.76.

In retail market, the gold rate fell notably amid report of China-US trade talk and ceasefire announcement between India and Pakistan. According to Goodreturs, the gold rate today in India for 10 grams of 22-carat gold is Rs 88,800. The gold price for 22-carat gold today is Rs 96,880 per 10 grams. At the same time the rate for 18-carat gold is Rs 72,660 per 10 grams.
