Gold Price Today: The price of gold traded higher on Monday on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) as it was trading at 78,111 per 10 grams, up 0.47% at around 9:04 a.m. The rates of the precious metal vary the whole day tracking demand and supply on the commodity trading platforms. However, the price trades flat in the retail or physical market on any given day.

The gold rates do not remain the same on each day in the retail market as well. In India today, the 24-karat gold is priced at Rs 79,410 per 10 grams, while the 22 Karats gold is Rs 72,790 per 10 grams. The price for 18 karat is Rs 59,560 per 10 grams.
