Gold, Silver Price Today: The bullion prices fell on Friday amid profit booking after days of rally in previous trading sessions. The Silver future contract on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) fell nearly 24 thousand in early trade to a low of Rs 3,75,900 per kilogram against last day's closing of Rs 3,99,893. Similarly, the future gold on MCX dipped nearly nine thousand to a day's low of 1,75,100 per 10 grams against last day's closing of Rs 1,83,962.

In the domestic futures market, the Gold price fell nearly Rs 13,000 from its lifetime high of Rs 1,93,096 per 10 grams, and the silver rate decreased by nearly Rs 44,000 from its all-time high of 4,20,048 per kilogram.

At around 11:21 AM, the MCX Silver (March 5 Expiry) was trading at Rs 3,83,648, down Rs 16,245 or 4.06 per cent. Whereas, MCX Gold (April 2 Expiry) was at Rs 1,81,801 per 10 grams, down Rs 2,161 or 1.17 per cent.

Gold Rate in the International Market

The Gold and Silver prices fell significantly in the international market. At the time of writing, the Comex Gold was at $5,210.10, down $108.30 or 2.04 per cent. At the same time, Comex Silver was at $110.56, down $4.11 or 3.60 per cent.

22k, 24k Gold Rate In India

Mirroring the decline in gold prices in futures markets, the gold rate in the domestic retail market fell as well. The 24 karat gold rate in India today is Rs 1,65,860 per 10 grams, while the 22 karat gold rate today is Rs 1,52,038 per 10 grams. At the same time, the 18 karat gold rate is Rs 1,24,395 per 10 grams.
