MCX Gold, Silver Rates Today: The bullion prices continued their gaining momentum on February 25, with Silver rising by over Rs 7,000, and Gold jumped around Rs 1,100 in the early session in the domestic futures market. At the time of writing, the Silver March expiry contract was trading at Rs 2,67,178, up Rs 6,434 or 2.47 per cent on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). AT the same time, MCX Gold (April expiry) was doing business at Rs 1,60,650, up Rs 681 or 0.43 per cent.
Early in the morning, the MCX Silver hit a high at Rs 2,67,990 per kilogram, up Rs 7,246 as compared to last day's closing of Rs 2,60,744, while MCX Gold rose to Rs 1,61,072 per 10 grams, up Rs 1,172 against last session's closing of Rs 1,59,969.
"MCX Gold futures are trading in the 1,55,000–1,62,000 range after consolidating following the sharp correction from lifetime highs near 1,80,000–1,81,000. While short-term price action reflects consolidation with a mild upward bias, the broader structure remains supportive above long-term support zones," said Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money.
Gold Rate in the International Market
The gold and silver prices escalated in the international market as well. At the time of Writing, COMEX Gold was trading at $5,202.70 per ounce, up $26.40 or 0.51 per cent. While COMEX Silver was at $89.41, up $1.9 or 2.18 per cent.
24k, 22k Gold Rate In India
The Gold rates for different purity levels rose in the domestic retail market on February 25, mirroring the gain in the futures market. The rate of 24 karat gold in India is Rs 1,61,260 per 10 grams, while the 22 karat gold rate today is Rs 1,47,822 per 10 grams.
The 20 karat gold rate today in India is Rs 1,34,383, and the 18 karat gold rate is Rs 1,20,945 per 10 grams.
