Banking Stock: Shares of HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and Yes Bank soared in the opening hour on Monday after the private sector banks posted strong financials in the January-March Quarter of FY24-25. HDFC Bank Share Price Rose nearly 2% to hit an intraday high at Rs 1,950.70 per share on NSE. ICICI Bank shares zoomed over 2% as well to hit 52 52-week high of Rs 1,436.0. Meanwhile, Yes Bank share price soared up to 5% to hit an intraday high of Rs 19.35.

HDFC Bank Q4 Results

HDFC Bank reported a 6.7 per cent growth in standalone net profit for the 25th quarter of the last fiscal year. On a sequential basis, net profit rose 5.3 per cent. In an exchange filing, the bank said that its gross non-performing asset (NPA) ratio fell to 1.33 per cent on March 31, 2024, from 1.42 per cent on December 31, 2024. However, it increased from 1.24 per cent a year ago.

HDFC Bank’s net interest income (NII) rose 10.3 per cent to Rs 32,070 crore in the quarter from Rs 29,080 crore in the year-ago quarter.

Yes Bank Q4 results

The bank’s standalone net profit rose 63.3 per cent year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 738 crore. Its net interest income (NII) also rose 5.7% yoy to Rs 2,276.3 crore. During the quarter, interest income rose 2.3% yoy to Rs 7,616 crore, while net non-performing assets (NPAS) declined to 0.3% from 0.5% in the previous quarter.

Total NPAS were flat at 1.6% in the fourth quarter, while provisions rose 23% quarter-on-quarter (Qoq) to Rs 318.1 crore.

ICICI Bank Q4 Results

For the quarter ended March, ICICI Bank's net profit rose 7.1%. ICICI Bank’s gross non-performing assets (NPA) ratio fell to 1.67 per cent on March 31, 2025, from 1.96 per cent in the previous quarter and 2.16 per cent a year earlier.

Net interest income (NII) rose 11.0 per cent quarter-on-quarter to Rs. 21,193 crore as against Rs 21,193 crore in Q4 FY25. 19,093 crore in the fourth quarter of FY24. The net interest margin in Q4 of FY25 is 4.41 per cent, compared to 4.25 per cent in Q3 of FY25 and 4.40 per cent in Q4 of FY24. The net interest margin in FY25 was 4.32 per cent.
