ITR Filing 2025: Excel-based ITR filing tools for the fiscal year 2024–2025 (assessment year 2025–2026) have been made available by the Income Tax Department. You can now file the ITR-1 and ITR-4 Excel utilities. The income tax department's e-filing portal now offers the utilities for download.
Taxpayers can file their returns offline by using the downloadable Excel utilities for ITR-1 and ITR-4. After entering their income and deduction information, users can verify it and generate a JSON file that they can upload to the income tax portal for final submission. While online filing is still unavailable, these tools serve as a crucial substitute.
