The Opposition, led by the Congress, has criticised the BJP-led ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at the Centre for its perceived inability to control fuel prices and the subsequent impact on essential food items and other goods. While the specific causes of the price decline are not explicitly stated, a multitude of factors including fluctuations in global oil prices, alterations in taxation policies, and changes in supply and demand dynamics are presumed to play a role in these modifications.
Revisions for both commercial and domestic LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) cylinders typically occur on the first day of each month.
