Indian-American Thomas Kurian is one of the richest business executives in the world. He is the CEO of Google Cloud since 2019 and is just below Sunder Pichai in the organisational chart.
Interestingly, Kurian’s net worth, which is Rs 12,100 crore, reportedly, is much more than that of Sunder Pichai with Rs 10,810 crore. His net worth is way more than Satya Nadella (Rs 6,200 crore).

Born in Kottayam district of Kerala, Thomas Kurian is the twin brother of George Kurian and together went to IIT Madras, but dropped out from the prestigious college. Both of them moved to the US to pursue engineering at Princeton University.
Thomas later did MBA from Stanford and started his corporate career with Mckinsey & Company as a consultant serving clients in the software, telecommunications, and financial services industries for 6 years in London and Brussels.
His biggest turning point was Oracle in 1996 initially holding various product management and development positions. His first executive role was as Vice President of Oracle's e-Business division. In this role, he drove a number of company-wide initiatives focused on transforming Oracle into an e-business.

In 2019, he joined Google Cloud as CEO and revived the company by shifting its focus on customer services. Reportedly, he took good care of his employees, even giving them a raise to motivate them.
According to a CNN report, Thomas Kurian was the 18th highest-paid man in the US in 2010 was also named as the fifth highest-paid tech executive in 2010.
