Safra Catz Net Worth: Cloud computing giant Oracle Corp on Wednesday made history after its stock prices climbed by a massive 36 per cent in just a day, catapulting its owner, Larry Ellison, to become the world's richest person, surpassing Elon Musk. However, Larry Ellison was not the only one who gained enormously; Oracle Corp's CEO, Safra Catz, also became significantly wealthier by approximately USD 412 Million (approximately Rs 3,419 crore).
Backed by brilliant quarterly results and a strong future outlook, the recent surge has been the highest Oracle has ever seen. Oracle Corp's shares closed at USD 328.33, up from around USD 241 on Wednesday. In the previous two months, its stock was trading in a range of around USD 220 to USD 250. Oracle’s shares increased by around 36 per cent in the past month, while in the past year, its stock price has more than doubled, rising over 100 per cent.

Safra Catz's Net Worth
Safra Catz has made a name for herself in the industry as a self-made woman billionaire who is part of the board of directors at Oracle. After the Oracle stock price surge, Catz's net worth grew from USD 3 billion to USD 3.4 billion.
Safra Catz's Career
At Oracle, Catz has worn many hats, including President, Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President, and Senior Vice President. She is also a lecturer on the faculty of the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She has been on the board of directors at the Oracle Education Foundation and served as its chairman until 2004. She is also on the board of trustees at In-Q-Tel.
Previously, before venturing into Oracle, Catz held various positions at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, including Managing Director in Investment Banking. She also held various positions at companies like HSBC Holdings and The Walt Disney Company.

What Led To Oracle's Historic Surge?
Oracle CEO stated that the cloud computing giant had signed four multi-billion-dollar deals with three different customers in Q1. This resulted in an increase in the backlog of payments from customers for its services, which is known as remaining performance obligations (RPO), and increases Oracle's future expected revenue.
Total revenue from the company grew to USD 14.9 billion, an increase of 12 per cent in USD and 11 per cent in constant currency. Revenue from cloud computing also grew by 28 per cent in USD, while its constant currency grew by 27 per cent to USD 7.2 billion. Oracle also saw good growth from its multicloud database revenue from tech giants like Amazon, Google, and Microsoft.
