Gold- Silver Rate Today: As the global geo-political tension escalated due to the recent military action by the United States in Venezuela, the bullion prices soared significantly in both the domestic and international markets. In India's future market, the precious metals--Gold and Silver-- contracts rose by nearly 3 per cent in the morning trading.
At around 10:17 am, MCX Silver (March 5 Expiry) rose by Rs 6,857 or 2.9 per cent to Rs 243,173.0 per kilogram against the previous session's closing of Rs 2,36,316.0. Similarly, the MCX Gold (February 5 Expiry) was trading at Rs 137,300 per 10 grams, surging Rs 1,539 or 1.13 per cent against last session's closing of Rs 1,35,761.00.
Meanwhile, the international market saw a sharp rally in the rates of Gold and Silver, with Comex Silver rising 5.86 per cent or $4.16 to $75.175 per ounce (at around 10:28 AM IST). Comex Gold surged 1.98 per cent or $85.90 to $4,415 per ounce.

According to All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council (www.gjc.org.in), the standard selling price for 24-karat Gold in the domestic market today is Rs 1,34,200 per 10 grams. 22-karat gold's standard selling price is Rs 1,22,800 per 10 grams.
As per the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the 24-Karat gold rate closed at Rs 1,33,877 per 10 grams, while 22-karat's price was Rs 1,23,124.
Silver Price Today
According to the All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council (www.gjc.org.in), the standard selling price for Silver today is Rs 2,34,300 per kg. While it closed 2,34,906 on Friday, as per IBJA.
