Stock Market Closing: The domestic indices ended the day trade-in green in a highly volatile trade. The market rally was led by buying and positive cues from global markets. Sensex, the index of top 30 shares on NSE, closed at 73,663.72, up by 676.69 points or 0.93 percent, while Nifty 50, the index of top 50 shares on the National Stock Exchange ended at 22,403.85, up by 203.30 points or 0.92 percent.
Tech Mahindra, Mahindra & Mahindra, Bharti Airtel, Titan, Bajaj Finserv, HDFC Bank, Infosys, JSW Steel, Larsen & Toubro, and Kotak Mahindra Bank were among the top gainers on the Sensex. Maruti, Tata Motors, State Bank of India, Power Grid, and IndusInd Bank were among the laggards.

Among Asian markets, Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Hong Kong closed with gains. European markets were trading lower. Wall Street closed with gains on Wednesday.
The global oil benchmark Brent crude fell 0.33 percent to $82.45 a barrel. According to exchange data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold equities worth Rs 2,832.83 crore on Wednesday. Breaking its three-day winning streak, the 30-share BSE Sensex closed 117.58 points, or 0.16 percent, lower at 72,987.03 on Wednesday. The NSE Nifty fell 17.30 points, or 0.08 percent, to 22,200.55.
