Stock Market Today: The domestic benchmark indices traded volatile in the morning trade on Tuesday, amid concern over the US administration's impending reciprocal tariffs. Sensex, the index of top 30 shares on BSE, fell over 1100 Points to hit an intraday low at 76,218.75, plunging 1.4% (till 11:33 am). Whereas, Nifty50, the 50 shares benchmark of NSE, fell over 300 points or 1.36%.

The index opened at 76,882.58 against its previous close of 77,414.92 and dropped 1,100.

Uncertainty over Trump's ‘liberation day’ tariff plan

US President Donald Trump’s upcoming reciprocal tariff rollout plans have triggered a concern of uncertainty among investors.  As per media reports, Trump will announce his reciprocal tariff plan during a ceremony at the White House on Wednesday.

Focus on RBI’s monetary policy

The Reserve Bank of India's Monetary Policy Committee will have their meeting scheduled between April 7-9. It is being speculated that the RBI would cut the repo rate by 0.25%.

Caution on fourth-quarter earnings data

After seeing a lots of ups and down in the last quarter in the stock market, the investors have their eye on companies’ fourth quarter (December quarter) earnings. If the results are weak, the market may go down further.
