Stock Market Holiday Today: The domestic equity and derivatives market is closed today, April 14, on account of Ambedkar Jayanti--a National Holiday, according to the Holiday Calendar of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). Meanwhile, bank branches will remain closed today in various states as well.

Additionally, trading activities in equity derivatives, currency derivatives, electronic gold receipts (EGR), securities lending and borrowing (SLB), are also suspended. However, trading in commodity derivatives will open in the evening session.

April: For Good Friday, on April 3, and Ambedkar Jayanti, on April 14

May: For Maharashtra Day on May 1, and Bakri Id On May 28

June: For Muharram, on June 26

July: For Ganesh Chaturthi on September 14

October: For Dussehra, on October 20

November: For Diwali On November 10, and Guru Nanak Dev Jayanti On November 24

December: For Christmas Day, on December 25.

Bank Holiday Today

According to the RBI's holiday calendar, bank branches in most states, excluding Mizoram, MP, Chandigarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, and Himachal Pradesh, are shut today on the occasion of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, Tamil New Year, and Bohag Bihu.
