"Nifty 50 began trading around the 26,200 mark, showing early signs of recovery from support and holding above its short-term demand zone. A sustained move and hourly close above the previous day’s high would be crucial to re-establish upside momentum and revive the broader bullish trend," said  Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money

International Market

The majority of the international markets showed a mixed approach but remained largely supportive. Most of the Asian peers were in green in early trades, due to a rally in defence and technology stocks.

Meanwhile, gold and silver continued their bullish rally amid investors' sustained interest in safe-haven assets. Át the same time, Oil prices remained in the red, driven by a weaker US dollar.

Among the sectoral indices, Nifty IT and Oil and Gas indices started the session in negative territory. While other sectors, including Nifty Auto (up by 0.10 per cent), Nifty FMCG (up 0.18 per cent), and PSU Bank ( up 0.25 per cent), were up in the morning trade.

Nifty Realty and Nifty Metal were also trading in green.

In the broader markets, a mixed trend was observed. Mid-cap and small-cap stocks were trading in the green, while the Nifty 100 index was in the red, indicating selling pressure in large-cap stocks.
