Farmers in Uttar Pradesh have received a free electricity gift from the government as the state government will offer free electricity to farmers with private tube well connections. According to media sources, farmers with tube well connections will be given 12 hours of free electricity and registration for the same has commenced in the Gautam Buddha Nagar district as well. 

In about 18 villages of Gautam Buddha Nagar district, camps have been set up where registration has begun. Previously, it was to be completed between August 5th and August 10th, but the last date has now been pushed back to August 16th.

According to Noida Electricity Department’s executive engineer Praveen Kumar Singh, these camps are being organized in villages connected to 33/11 KV substations of Kot, Luharli and NTPC Road, Dadri. On Tuesday, camps will be set up in locations like Nai Basti, Phaloda, Jarcha, Datawali, Santhli and Khatana. On Wednesday, camps will be set up at locations such as Datawali, Santhli, and Khatana.

On August 8th, camps will be set up in Beel, Akbarpur, Chapaul and Narauli. The following day, on August 9th, camps will be set up in Ramgarh, Nangla, Chamru and Bisahada. On August 10th, camps will be set up in Bodaki, Chhinsa and Patdi.

This camp has been set up to help private tube well customers. Additionally, the general public is being urged to pay their pending electricity bills and set up maximum registrations for the free electricity scheme for private tube well customers at these camps.

According to Noida Electricity Department’s Chief Zonal Engineer Harish Bansal, Gautam Buddha Nagar’s urban areas are receiving 24-hour electricity, while rural areas are receiving 18 hours of electricity.

Moreover, on July 30th, UPPCL Chairman Dr. Ashish Goyal ordered that officers provide 24-hour electricity to urban areas, 18 hours to rural areas, and 9.5 hours at the tehsil level. Discoms have been asked to follow the same orders.
