Meta-owned instant messaging app Whatsapp introduced a payments service in India in 2020. Later, in 2021 Whatsapp’s payments service was expanded to all users. With the feature, users can link their bank accounts through UPI and can transact payments through the platform.
Whatsapp payments use UPI to allow bank-to-bank money transfers. To make transactions easy, WhatsApp uses the phone number linked with your account in order to identify your bank account information. One should know whether their UPI PIN is a 4 or 6-digit number that they must enter before making transactions. Every transaction is secured by a personal UPI PIN and one should not share it with anyone. However, if you already have a UPI PIN for your bank account, you will not be asked to create a new UPI PIN in WhatsApp.
In addition to sending or receiving money, Whatsapp also allows users to look at their bank account balance, view their payment history or report a payment on the platform.
If you are someone who wants to view your payment history on WhatsApp but doesn’t know how to do that, here are a few simple steps you can follow to view WhatsApp payment history:
Step 1- On your smartphone, Open WhatsApp
