Abhishek Sharma has added another big milestone to his name after smashing a stunning century against Afghanistan in the third T20I at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
The Indian opener reached his hundred in just 30 balls, taking his tally to 10 centuries in T20 cricket across international, domestic and IPL matches. With that, he has moved level with former India captain Virat Kohli, who also has 10 T20 hundreds.
Abhishek finished his innings with 108 runs from only 34 balls. His knock included nine fours and 11 sixes, giving him a remarkable strike rate of 317.65.
The century was also the fastest ever by an Indian men’s cricketer in T20 cricket and the fastest by a batter from a full-member nation in men’s T20I cricket.

Abhishek’s Journey To 10 T20 Hundreds
Abhishek scored his first T20 century in January 2021 while playing for Punjab against Railways. He made 107 off 62 balls in that game.
His next three hundreds came during the 2023-24 period. The southpaw scored 112 against Andhra and followed it up with another 112 against Gujarat.
Abhishek then made his mark at the international level. In July 2024, he scored his first T20I century, smashing 100 from 47 balls against Zimbabwe.

One of his most destructive innings came later that year against Meghalaya. Abhishek remained unbeaten on 106 from just 29 balls in December 2024, striking at an incredible rate of 365.51.
He continued his run of big scores in 2025, hitting 135 off 54 balls against England before scoring 141 off 55 balls for Punjab Kings. Later that year, he also smashed 148 against Bengal.
In 2026, Abhishek added another unbeaten 135 against Delhi Capitals before producing his latest hundred against Afghanistan.

Kohli’s 10 T20 Centuries
Kohli has reached the 10-century mark over a much longer period. His first T20 hundred came in April 2016, when he scored an unbeaten 100 off 63 balls for Royal Challengers Bengaluru against Gujarat Lions.
He quickly followed that with another unbeaten century, making 108 off 58 balls against Rising Pune Supergiant.
Kohli then hit back-to-back hundreds against Gujarat Lions and Kings XI Punjab, scoring 109 and 113 respectively.
After nearly three years without a T20 century, Kohli returned to three figures in 2019 with a 100 against Kolkata Knight Riders.
His only T20I century came in September 2022. Kohli produced one of the most memorable innings of his career against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup, scoring an unbeaten 122 off 61 balls.
Kohli Continued To Add To His Tally
Kohli returned to the IPL century list in 2023, scoring 100 against Sunrisers Hyderabad before making an unbeaten 101 against Gujarat Titans.
In 2024, he hit another unbeaten century, scoring 113 off 72 balls against Rajasthan Royals.
His latest T20 century came in May 2026 against Kolkata Knight Riders, when he remained unbeaten on 105 off 60 balls.
