India vs Bangladesh, ACC U19 Asia Cup 2024 Final Match:

Bangladesh defeated India by 59 runs in the final to win the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2024 title at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

This was Bangladesh's second successive ACC Men's U19 Asia Cup title, having won the trophy last season as well by defeating UAE in the final.

Bangladesh came out on top against India in the low-soring summit clash and bowled the Men in Blue out for just 139 runs in 35.2 overs while defending their total.

After being put into bat first, Bangladesh were bowled out for 198 runs in 49.1 overs. Md Rizan Hossan (47) was their top run-getter, while Mohammad Shihab James (40) and Farid Hasan Faysal (39) made crucial contributions.

For India, Yudhajit Guha, Chetan Sharma and Hardik Raj took two wickets each whereas Kiran Chormale, KP Karthikeya and Ayush Mhatre found a scalp each as well.

Chasing the target, India lost the first wicket in the second over of their inning as Mhatre departed for just 1 run.

India never looked settled in the run chase and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Skipper Mohamed Amaan was their top run-getter, contributing 26 runs.

On the other hand, Hardik, Andre Siddarth and Karthikeya got starts but couldn't make it count.

Bangladesh skipper Md Azizul Hakim Tamim and Iqbal Hossain Emon picked up three wickets each while Al Fahad found two wickets as well.

Bangladesh were drawn in Group B and finished second with two wins in their three matches before defeating Pakistan by 7 wickets in the semi-final.
