AFG vs NZ, One-Off Test: Day 4 of the one-off Test match between Afghanistan and New Zealand has been washed out due to incessant rain on Thursday. The toss was supposed to be held at 9:00 a.m. but incessant rain once again played spoilsport and that's why the umpires decided to abandon the day's play for the fourth consecutive time.
“The fourth day of the only Test match between Afghanistan and New Zealand teams is also not going to be played due to continued rainfall,” ACB was quoted as saying in a statement released by them.
“The decision about the start of the game tomorrow morning at 8:00 will be made after the stadium assessment,” it concluded.

Not one ball was bowled in these last four days due to wet outfield on the first two days and that led to questions being asked as to how they prepare this venue for this game.
There are seven matches in the history of this format that have been washed out without a single ball being bowled.
The last time this incident occurred was during a match between India and New Zealand in 1998 in Dunedin.
The Hashmatullah Shahidi were the hosts of this match and chose this stadium as the venue due to logistical reasons.
They were on the verge of playing their 10th Test match ever since they got the ICC Test status way back in 2017.
They are playing this one-off Test match against New Zealand but isn't a part of the 2023-25 WTC cycle.
The Tim Southee-led side will next be seen in action in a two-match Test series against Sri Lanka and they will then come back to India for a three-match Test series, which would be held next month.
