CSK vs KKR IPL 2026: Ajinkya Rahane, who is the skipper of Kolkata Knight Riders, has been fined Rs 12 lakh for maintaining a slow over rate in their IPL 2026 match against Chennai Super Kings in Chennai on Tuesday. Since it was his first offense this year, Rahane was fined Rs 12 lakh under Article 2.22 of the IPL's Code of Conduct, which addresses minimum over-rate violations.
During the game, Noor Ahmed registered match-winning figures of 3/21, helping the hosts defeat KKR by 32 runs and win their second consecutive match.
The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side posted a mammoth target of 192 runs. They benefited significantly from the contributions of Sanju Samson (48) and Dewald Brevis (41).

Noor spearheaded CSK's bowling attack and helped the team skittle Kolkata out for 160 runs as the Kolkata-based franchise had lost its fourth consecutive match.
They are at the bottom of the points table after scoring just one point, as their game against the Punjab Kings was abandoned.
CSK began their campaign with three consecutive losses. They have now won two consecutive matches and jumped to eighth position in the points table.

Although they are still waiting for MS Dhoni to return to their side, as he is recovering from a calf injury and hasn't played a single match yet.
While chasing, the Ajinkya Rahane-led side suffered a batting collapse. Finn Allen (1) and Sunil Narine (24) then helped the team bounce back for a while.
Noor took Rahane's wicket after scoring 28 runs and then dismissed Cameron Green for a golden duck, but Rinku Singh made sure that he didn't get his hat-trick.
Rovman Powell (36 not out) and Ramandeep Singh (35) did try to stabilize the innings, but the asking rate stayed high.
"We just have to keep that head up and just be positive and have that self-belief", Rahane told broadcasters during the post-match presentation.
"I thought with the ball, we were treated really well. 190 on this wicket was really good, especially the powerplay, what they got, 70-odd runs. After that, pulling back to 190 was an amazing job from our bowling unit. I thought, initially, without batting, we just got 36 or 37 runs in the power play. I thought that was really important in the middle phase. Hitting spinners was slightly challenging, but apart from that, the wicket was really good. We needed one batter to bat until deep and then take it in the end", he concluded.
