IND-W vs ENG-W: The brilliant half-centuries from Jemimah Rodrigues and Amanjot Kaur powered clinical India to an easy 24-run victory over England in the second T20I at the County Ground in Bristol on Tuesday.

With Amanjot Kaur's all-round performance of a half-century and a wicket, India bag a 2-0 lead in the five-match T20I series, just one win away from clinching it.

After India posted 181-4, England's chase of 182 got off to a rocky start, with three wickets falling in quick succession. Senior players Tammy Beaumont and Amy Jones showed flashes of brilliance as the duo played some brilliant under-pressure knocks.

Beaumont brought up a half-century, but her momentum fell apart in the 12th over as she fell victim to a suicidal run-out, dash for a quick single that didn't pay off.

With the scoring rate starting to mount, Amy Jones couldn't find her footing on the crease, departing in the 15th over. However, in the last hope for a win, Sophie Ecclestone tried to fight in the end overs, but the required rate was too high and daunting; eventually, the England side faced a 24-run defeat.

For India Women, Shree Charani picked up two crucial wickets while Deepti Sharma and Amanjot Kaur chipped in with one wicket each.

Earlier put to bat first, India Women posted a solid 181 after a reliable batting performance. After India's top order stumbled, Rodrigues and Amanjot's crucial 93-run partnership steadied the innings while Richa Ghosh added a quickfire cameo in the end.

For England Women, Lauren Bell was the standout bowler as she picked up two wickets.
