IND vs ENG 2nd Test: India's star pacer Arshdeep Singh was seen making a cheeky comment on Mohammed Siraj on the third day of the ongoing Test match. Siraj helped the visitors bounce back during the match after Harry Brook and Jamie Smith stitched a gritty partnership of 300 runs.
He took a six-wicket haul during the innings and also his fourth five-for in the longest format. During an interview with the BCCI after stumps Arshdeep Singh interfered and made a cheeky comment to Siraj.
Arshdeep Singh reiterated Mohammed Siraj's famous dialogue "I only believe in Jassi bhai" and said that this should be changed after Siraj's five-for at Edgbaston.
"Brother, there is a dialogue change. I only believe in myself and Jassi bhai," Arshdeep Singh was heard saying in the video.
During the second innings, Siraj was assisted was Akash Deep, who too bowled brilliantly in the match. Akash Deep took a four-wicket haul and was just one wicket short of taking his first five-for and was on the verge of bowling some non-threatening ball, which gave the pacer the best chance to take a five-for.
"Akash Deep was waiting for his opportunity, and he showed his hunger today. I enjoyed bowling with him. I enjoy responsibility and it is good that I did well today," Siraj was heard saying in the video.
"I would have loved it if Akash Deep would have taken a five-wicket haul today. Your first 5-wicket haul is special. I told him that I would bowl 4 balls away from the stump to give him the best chance at taking 5, but he said no," he concluded.
The Shubman Gill-led side will start the fourth day after leading by 244 runs. KL Rahul and Karun Nair were in the middle and will aim to help the team survive the first session without losing any more wickets.
The hosts have made it quite clear that they can chase any target during the fourth innings. The visitors will aim to post a mammoth target for England to chase during the last innings.
