Sri Lankan will square off with Pakistan in the summit clash of Asia Cup 2022 at Dubai International Stadium on Sunday. In the summit clash, the Island nation would like to beat fancied Pakistan in the tournament finale. Babar Azam-led side will have the opportunity to redeem themselves after facing a five-wicket defeat against Sri Lanka in their last Super 4 game. The last game was a single-side affair as it was a low-scoring game.

Sri Lanka will hope to return home with their sixth title while Pakistan will look to end their decade-long Asia Cup drought. The star-heavy Pakistan are ready for the spirited Sri Lanka challenge in the summit clash. Dasun Shanaka's side are having their one of the best outing in the Asia Cup so far. Sri Lanka were the original host of the tournament before it got shifted to the UAE owing to economic and political crisis in the country. However, Sri Lanka have the hosting rights of this edition of Asia Cup.

This Sri Lankan team who was suffering with injuries before the start of the tournament have made suffer other teams. It was the defeat against Sri Lanka which derailed India's hope of playing the summit clash. The performance of the Island country has been terrific as without having star players they reached the final.

Both the teams have solid opening attack. For Sri Lanka, Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis have been consistent with the bat so far in the competition while Babar Azam ad Mohammad Rizwan are qualified enough to shift gears as per the need. Sri Lanka's middle order batting have been plus for them while Pakistan have some reliable names in their squad to support the foundation provided by openers.

It has been a comprehensive bowling attack from Sri Lanka by Wanindu Hasaranga, Dilshan Madushanka and Chamika Karunaratne while Mohammad Nawaz, Shadab Khan and Naseem Shah are scalping regular wickets for Pakistan. It will be interesting to see who can hold their nerve better in the tense situation of the finale.
