Asia Cup Records: The Asia Cup 2025 is scheduled to begin on September 9, with the Indian team set to kick off their campaign in the tournament against hosts United Arab Emirates on the following day.

Of the 19 matches in the Asia Cup 2025, 11, including the final, will be held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, while Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium will host the remaining eight. The much-awaited India vs Pakistan clash will take place on September 14 in Dubai, and the two rivals could meet as many as three times should they progress to the Super 4 stage and the final.

The final of the tournament will be played on September 28. India are the defending champions and is the most successful in the tournament history, having lifted their record 8th title with a dominating win over Sri Lanka in the final in 2023.

Now in its 17th edition, the Asia Cup cricket competition will feature eight teams that have been divided into two groups. The top two teams from each group will progress to the Super 4 stage, from where the two toppers will clash in the final.

This edition of the Asia Cup will be held in the 20-over format ahead of the T20 World Cup next year. Sri Lanka won the Asia Cup when it was last played in the T20 format in 2022 after they beat Pakistan in the final.
