In the men's ODI Asia Cup final, Mohammed Siraj delivered an outstanding performance, becoming only the second bowler after Ajantha Mendis to achieve a six-wicket haul. Siraj's remarkable spell of bowling yielded 6-21 as India dismissed Sri Lanka for a mere 50 runs in the title clash at the R. Premadasa Stadium.
After a rain delay, play resumed at 3:40 pm, and Siraj skillfully exploited the pitch's movement. He generated swing in both directions, leaving Sri Lankan batsmen perplexed. Siraj's exceptional showing resulted in a career-best performance, with him taking six wickets in seven overs, including four wickets in his second over of the game.

Notably, Pakistan failed to make the Asia Cup final courtesy of back-to-back losses from India, Sri Lanka.
Coming to the match, Hardik Pandya contributed with three wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah secured one scalp. Indian fast bowlers accounted for all ten wickets, limiting Sri Lanka to their second-lowest ODI total ever and their lowest score against India.
